A Taste of Armenia: Yerevan, Garni & Geghard
Four days and three nights for a first encounter with Armenia: Yerevan’s streets and manuscripts, Garni Temple, the Symphony of Stones, lavash baking and Geghard Monastery. Extend your private trip to Lake Sevan, wine country or the southern highlands.
Discover Armenia through its capital, ancient stone architecture and living traditions. Yerevan introduces the country through panoramic views, contemporary city life and the manuscripts of Matenadaran. Beyond the city, Garni, the basalt columns of the Symphony of Stones and rock-carved Geghard reveal contrasting layers of history and landscape. A herbs-making workshop and lavash-baking experience make the journey hands-on as well as scenic.
The base programme is 4 days / 3 nights, with accommodation in a 4-star Yerevan hotel and breakfast. Private transport and an English-speaking guide on the two sightseeing days are included. The standard arrangement is designed for four or more guests travelling together; other party sizes and room arrangements are quoted individually. Hotels, services and guide availability are confirmed for your dates. A 5-star hotel upgrade may be requested.
Extend your journey by request:
• 5 days / 4 nights: add a day at Lake Sevan and Sevanavank, a sailing experience when conditions allow, Old Dilijan and Lake Parz; departure moves to Day 5.
• 6 days / 5 nights: also add Khor Virap, Areni wine tasting, Areni Cave and Noravank, returning to Yerevan; departure moves to Day 6.
• 7 days / 6 nights: continue the Areni–Noravank day to Goris for an overnight, then visit Tatev by cable car and Khndzoresk before returning to Yerevan; departure moves to Day 7. This version has five nights in Yerevan and one in Goris.
Extensions are additional services and are not included in the four-day base programme. Mention the desired duration in your request; our team will confirm the itinerary and prepare its quotation. Sailing and cable-car visits depend on weather and operating schedules. Walking, stairs and uneven surfaces are part of several visits; the southern extension involves long drives.
Itinerary
Day 1 — Arrival in Yerevan
Meet the driver or representative at Zvartnots Airport and transfer to the hotel. Check in and enjoy free time to rest. An evening city walk or welcome dinner can be arranged separately. Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 2 — Yerevan and the world of manuscripts
Discover Victory Park and the Mother Armenia panorama, then the Cascade, Swan Lake and the central streets. Visit Matenadaran and join its herbs-making experience. Lunch, dinner and an optional brandy-factory tasting are arranged separately. Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 3 — Garni, lavash and Geghard
Travel to Garni Temple, take part in a lavash-baking experience and explore the Symphony of Stones. Continue to Geghard Monastery before returning to Yerevan. A local lunch is optional and is not included in the base programme. Overnight in Yerevan.
Day 4 — Departure or the start of your extension
For the base programme: breakfast according to flight time, check-out and private transfer to Zvartnots Airport. If an extension has been confirmed, continue with the additional itinerary described above instead of departing.
