Travel from Tbilisi through the Sadakhlo–Bagratashen crossing into the Debed Valley. Akhtala introduces the region through its fortified monastery and frescoes; Haghpat is the central cultural visit, followed by Sanahin. The day lasts around 12 hours, with variable border time. Haghpat and a safe return take priority: Akhtala, then Sanahin, may be shortened if delays require it. The usual vehicle tiers are 1–3 guests in a sedan or 4–6 in a minivan.

Central Tbilisi pickup → border crossing → Akhtala → Debed Valley and lunch break → Haghpat → Sanahin → return crossing → Tbilisi.
